How sad for Christians to walk below their inheritance! God has given so much.
They just sit as Christians with no power. They are naturalistic Christians. That's too bad. However, those who do walk forward with God must not judge or condemn those who stay back. No one can walk in that which they cannot receive. No one walks in anything that they themselves have earned or entered into because they, themselves were somehow superior to others. God reveals to whom He will reveal. It is God who softens the hearts of men to hear His words and to follow His leading. No one can boast or say that they are superior. Some will be first, but that does not make them better. It just makes them first. In fact, God has always worked this way, offering His good things to everyone who won't receive it, then to a smaller company who fulfill and who then turn around and bring everyone, even the disobedient, into fulfillment. First, God offers the completion of salvation to everyone. They won't take it. Then, He selects a smaller company, for example, the Children of Israel. When they won't walk in it, He selects a smaller company, for example, the Levites. The Levites had to be the first to step into the waters of the Jordan. Once the Levites had gone in, then everyone else was allowed to cross. First, God offered the fullness of salvation to every person. Then, God selected the universal or general Church, that body of all believers, as a called out company. When they would not receive the restoration of what was lost during the great falling away in the early Church, God progressively selected a smaller groups of Christians and called them out of the groups that would not walk in the new revelation of Scripture. Once God's work is completed, God will use those who are faithful, those who take part in the first resurrection, to reach back to those who did not do what was required to enter into the first resurrection. These called-out Christians are like the Levites, the first who make it possible for everyone else to cross. As a side note, every revelation of Scripture has been that the Scripture means exactly what it says.
