The first letter from Peter the hope--the purpose of trials--all foretold by the prophets--be holy--love one another--God's utterance2. sincere milk rather than evil thoughts that come from the flesh--living stones and spiritual sacrifices--hold yourself away from the desires of the fleshly nature--submission to authority set by God in governments and in business 3. submission to authority set by God in the home and in all of life--how to react to suffering for doing what is right--Christ's example for suffering 4. how to live Godly--minister (serve) by the gift of the Spirit, speak only those words that God gives and then let God speak them--a fiery trial is not strange for judgment must begin at the house of God 5. elders must care for the flock as a shepherd cares for sheep--humility under the mighty Hand of God, casting all your care on Him
