Answer:

Debate is a human contest to determine, not truth, but the cleverness of the debaters.  This particular comment stands as a tribute to the fallen human mind and has such poor logic that we will use it to teach Christians about some of the very deceptive techniques that are being used by the ungodly in the news media, in schools, in movies, in print media, and every other form of communication. It makes one wonder if there ever was a time like this when deception was developed as an art form and politicians, communicators, and entertainers were praised for their ability to effectively lie. I'm not saying that the commenter was or was not aware that he or she was being deceptive. The most destructive deceivers are the deceivers who first deceive themselves.

This statement is an interesting lie using the following:

• Misquote
• Presupposition
• Nesting of presuppositions (a Neuro Linguistic Programming hypnotic technique)
• Equivocation (creating confusion using words that have double meanings)
• Circular reasoning

Here is how these are used: this is a misquote wrapped in double-nested presupposition, masking an equivocation and the clever use of circular reasoning.

The SeekFind.net page actually says: "Evolutionism maintains itself on lies, creative stories, loopy logic, and insanity." This is a true statement and the evidence of this can be found on many pages in this site. The HIV hoax is just one of the examples. This site is filled with evidence, and much of this evidence supports the statement to which our commenter is referring. There is no problem with the research done by others. Interpretation, tainted by Evolutionistic presuppositions, of that research has many problems. The commenter is also trying to shift the burden of proof regarding whether HIV/AIDS research demonstrates Evolution. We have seen no evidence presented to support these contentions. SeekFind.net has to assume that the Atheist and Liberal websites, PBS programs, etc. would have presented evidence if there were any. (Read the article that prompted this comment)

The commenter then claims: "Debate is essential to maintain a high quality of research in society." Is that true? Is there good science to back that up or is it simply a baseless statement that is taken as an axiom? Axioms are just assumptions, things that people make up and claim to be true. Perhaps debate rarely results in high-quality research in society. How would one know that the best kind of evidence is peer reviewed research?

In the light of the commenter taking the role of sage and advising on giving evidence for statements, you will notice that none of these passages of Scripture are quoted.
