v.16-20 Fruits Tell |
Matthew 7:16-20 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
It's easy to tell the Spirit. If a person says he is led by the Spirit to do evil, that person is a liar. Don't take any instruction from that person. ![]()
How can we know anything about anything? That’s the real question Topic: LeadingNumbers 12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream. Numbers 12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. Numbers 12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of... You can know the will of God by being led by the Spirit. Then, the next question is this: \"How can I know it is the Spirit and not myself?\" Here are ten things you need to know about being led: 1. You must seek God on purpose Hebrews 11:6 God is and He is a rewarder--we will find Him if we seek Him. Matt 7:8 All who seek find Luke 11:9-13 God will give... When we are born again, we have spiritual senses, which grow and mature as we mature in Christ. We grow and mature by doing spiritual exercise. That exercise is like this: God speaks. He speaks through Scripture. When God speaks to us and we hear it, faith comes. (Romans 10:17) But we must wait for a word from God. We can\'t generate or work up this word. God gives a word... The apostles are very much a part of the Scriptural order of the church. The church must return to the pattern that God has given. Acts 8:14-20 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he... I heard a Christian say that she is trying to practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. I realized that God isn\'t random or senseless. He doesn\'t need our ideas. He is full of ideas. He doesn\'t want us to use our imaginations to come up with a vision out of our own hearts. He wants us to see a heavenly vision that starts and ends with Him. With these... There was a Christian radio personality who used his position on the airwaves to preach against any modern-day apostles. The word, apostle, means \"one sent.\" In other words, he was preaching against any who seem to be sent by God. He claimed that anyone who does not believe what he believes (and a lot of what he believes is very speculative) does not have the Spirit of God. He claimed... Galatians 2:2 And I went up by revelation [Apokalupsis: removal of a covering or veil] , and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. Apocalypse (two Greek words, apokalupsis, and apokalupto meaning approximately the same thing) Literally, it means the removal of a covering or a veil.... If you have not read Stories Versus Truth, you may want to read that before reading this. It is the proclamation of the Gospel, not argumentation, that transforms minds. See Give Them the Gospel. It is best to ask them a few questions first and to listen to their answers. You will want to know if they are being honest or simply trolling. Be patient, but be wise. Ask them this question:... Question: What is the church? How it should be governed. what kind of worship is most pleasing God? Describe the different answers given in the 17th century church of England to these questions. what was the outcome of these controversies? What challenges to traditional theology were experienced in the 17th century and 18th century? and what effects could be seen in the life of the Christian church? what was the usual... We know that the ministries and offices of the Church are counterfeited. Every gift of God, including salvation, is counterfeited. By their fruits shall you know them. The Scriptural order is very plain. The counterfeits: There are many instances where authority is claimed but a man or an organization is glorified. Anyone would know that this is not from God. A friend of mine went to a seminar where anyone who wanted it could purchase... The longer I walk with the Lord, the more that I realize that the Bible requires very little interpretation. It means what it says. The corrupted human mind cannot accept the simple teachings of Scripture. Scripture must be revealed. Scripture states this quite plainly. When Paul wrote the first letter to the Corinthians, he told them that he felt that the apostles have the mind of Christ. He later said... |
