My Prayer

Dear Lord, Jesus Christ, I thank You for this day.

I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning.  Please open my spiritual eyes and ears that I may see You and hear You.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.  You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.

Forgive me this day for I have come short of Your glory. I ask now for Your forgiveness and Your cleansing power.  Bring me into holiness.

Keep me safe, Lord, from all danger and harm.

Let me start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.  Let me make the best of each and every day and give my best in all that is put before me.

Clear my mind that I can hear from You.  Lord, I reject my own corrupt mind and look only to You for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.  Protect my mind from the influence of the media, corrupted music, and those who don’t have faith.  Broaden my mind that I can accept all Your blessing and the fullness of the work You did on the cross.  Lord, let be walk in the Spirit from glory to ever-increasing glory.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I can’t control.  Let me continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil.  Lord, deliver me from the evil one and give me power for righteousness.  Let me be transfigured as You renew my mind.

And when I sin, let Your perpetual salvation cover my sins.  Give me a check in my heart when I am tempted, and let me be attentive to Your leading to keep me from even the appearance of evil.  Lord keep me from the foolishness of trying to follow a lot of rules and regulations.  Let me rather walk in the Spirit so close to You that Your loving presence keeps me in the center of Your will.  Let Your Spirit overflow in me.  Let it flow from me as a might river that You may minister through me to a dry and thirsty land.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember to slip away and
find a quiet place to pray.  It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.  I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.

Continue to use me to do Thy Will.  Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.  Be my strength that I may help the weak and unsaved.  Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.

I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way.  I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood.  I pray for those who don't know You intimately.  I pray for those who will only read this and not live this aloud in their own lives.  I pray for those who don't believe. But, I thank You that I believe—help my unbelief.  I believe that You change people and You change things.  I pray for each and every family member.  I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

There is no circumstance or situation greater than You, oh Lord.  I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that speaks them willingly.

Amen.

If you seek God, you will find Him through His Son, Jesus.

Revelations 22:19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.

John 10:35b the Scripture cannot be broken,

Human theology and reasoning is not necessarily correct, but the Bible is. The Bible can only be understood by revelation, and revelation is given by the Spirit of God. God does reveal in His own way. But we only know in part. If we think we know any thing, we do not know it as we ought. We are instructed, by God, to keep seeking Him. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. The truth sets us free. Lies bind us. Whoever seeks Jesus does find Him. Jesus is the truth.

We believe the Holy Scriptures teach:
  • The 5 apostolic ministries (Ephesians 4:11)
  • The nine gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
  • Local congregations overseen by elders and deacons (Titus 1:5)
  • Every member having and being a ministry in the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:11)
  • Being led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14)
  • The gathering together of the Body of Christ (Genesis 49:10, John 17:21)
