Testimonies |
What is our testimony to those around us? What is our testimony to the unsaved? What is our testimony to our brother and sister in Christ? These are questions that we ought to ask ourselves. Our testimony must be more than empty words. It must be lived in an overcoming life. All who are saved will lead an overcoming life despite the fact that we all make many mistakes. When we stumble, the Holy Spirit merely comforts us and reminds us to get back up and continue the journey. Through the blood of Jesus, all our sins are forgiven, and through the same precious blood, we can walk out of our sinful nature and into His likeness. This fact, the Scripture confirms repeatedly. For over 100 years, the enemy of our souls has been chanting, "It is impolite to speak of religion." Our Father says, "Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name." Mal 3:16 Our God desires that we think of Him and speak of Him and seek Him with all our heart. When we have real experiences with Jesus, we need to speak of those experiences. All over the Internet and on TV and other entertainment media, many useless stories are told. Generally, these stories glorify humanity, a person, an organization, or an idea. These stories are not testimonies. Testimonies testify to the greatness of God and His love. A story that says that there was this nice person who did a nice thing is not a testimony even if it was written with enough skill to make you and me both cry. Testimonies don't glorify persons, institutions, organizations, or even all of humanity. They glorify God. The points on this page may shake the faith of the Atheist in the precepts of Atheism, but the most important thing is that you share the Good News (Gospel). This is simple. All these other things may help, but it is the proclamation of the Gospel that transforms minds. See Give Them the Gospel. ![]()
