1 Corinthians 1:12 Divisions

1 Corinthians 1:12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Here, God has given us four types of division-making ways of acting.  Paul: Those who follow a man because he is a man with a specific calling.  Apollos: Those who follow presentation and the best Christian entertainment.  Cephas: Those who follow that which is established, the original apostles, or traditions.  Christ: Those who won't come under any authority, who don't recognize the order and authority that God has established in the Church.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

Apostles are given the responsibility of protecting the entire flock of God from the attack of the enemy, but with so many voices in the world, each one claiming to be the one that should be listened to, how can you know? You are responsible to be close enough to God so that you can tell the difference between false apostles and real apostles.

Read the complete definition of "Apostle."

God restored the gifts of the Spirit and apostles & prophets to the church since 1948. Counterfeits and false gifts abound, but the real is still real.
