There is only one Foundation, one Rock, on which to build.  It is true that, without revelation, it is impossible to know anything, hence the rise of Post Modernism/relativism. However, evolutionists are hypocritical, claiming that they know the age of the earth, yet knowing that at the base of all their reasoning are root assumptions that are arbitrary. These arbitrary assumptions are selected based on a need to "prove that "there is no God." With revelation as the base of most Creationist reasoning, there is no circular reasoning among those who start with revelation from God. We know that the Bible is the Word of God without error because the Holy Spirit tells us this very fact in real time. This is God, Who cannot lie, speaking. Hearing His voice and then obeying Him is what it means to build on the Rock.

"The human heart [mind] is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?" Jeremiah 17:9

No thought can be more valid than its foundation. Though, even with a sure foundation, thought can be irrational and seem to be rational. In fact, irrational thoughts are usually more convincing that rational thoughts. Every great salesman and politician knows that they sell based on emotion and then provide a way to rationalize the emotional decision. However, most human thinking is based on a foundation that is not sure, and irrational foundation.

Note: We are not dogmatically claiming to know that the Earth is 6,000 years old. We know that God created the Heavens and the Earth in six days and we know the number of generations between Adam and Christ. That's about it. Even though a plain reading of Scripture seems to indicate a young Earth; even though there is zero observed evidence and only circular reasoning and speculations that support old Earth stories, we can't even deny the possibility that God could have done something that Scripture doesn't hint at and that has left no scientific evidence. It is possible. It just is not worth the time to think about it.

Flawless logic that is placed on an unsure foundation is of no value at all. Made up stories, speculation, axioms, assumptions, and assertions are not valid for a foundation on which to build a structure of logic. The only foundation that is certain is revelation that comes from God.

God provides enough information right in His creation to answer any skeptic. When God speaks, there is authority. A man can make up a story and never challenge his own thinking and presuppositions. Human thought is fallible. God's utterance is infallible.

(some caveats about hearing God's Voice)

There is revelation that comes miraculously from the human mind, but that is always a clever lie. There is revelation that comes from demons / earth spirits / gods of the cults, but they always lie. Only God never lies. Only Jesus Christ is the truth.

It is impossible to read the Bible without having Jesus Christ speak to you, but it is possible to read the Bible and only listen to what your own mind is saying or what demons are saying.

The Bible also mentions the foundation of the apostles, not that they are a separate foundation from Christ but that they are built on Christ and joined to Christ. Ephesians 4 tells us that the apostles are given to the church until we ALL come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God to one perfectly complete man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. What a day that will be! Apostles must walk in unity with the Spirit of Jesus Christ so that they become part of that foundation and they must walk in complete unity with each other. There is no chief apostle or independent apostle but each apostle must be under the government of all the other apostles.

The word, apostle, means "one sent." Apostles must be sent by God and not by man. The Bible warns against false apostles and commends those who recognize the difference between true apostles and false apostle.
