v 21 Frustrate Grace |
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. I do not frustrate the divine power for righteousness, holiness, and redemption (a.k.a. grace) of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Trying to do good works by the power of the flesh is just plain silly. The power of the Holy Spirit is available to all who have been born again. The Holy Spirit can do good works, but our own righteousness is as filthy rags. According to the fleshly nature, we just cannot do good works.
