Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God (Luke 4:4)

Do not toil to acquire wealth; be wise enough to desist. When your eyes light upon it, it is gone; for suddenly it takes to itself wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven (Proverbs 23:4-5, RSV).

For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness'; and again, 'The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile" (1 Corinthians 3:18-20).
