Why Would Anyone Reject The Holy Spirit?

God has shown us, through His Word, that there are ways that will stunt our growth.  They will cause us to fail spiritually and in every other way.  The Bible gives the warning concerning these various pitfalls. 

• If we try to approach God while rejecting His Son, Jesus, and the amazing salvation that God has given, we will fail.  We have to do it God's way, or we fail and lose everything.
• Every time we put our trust in anything or anybody other than God, we are heading for disaster. 
• When we look for guidance from other than God’s way of giving guidance, we are looking to be misdirected. 
• When we look for righteousness, authority, healing, or any other thing, without looking to God, we are going to stunt our growth.
• If we try to set up orders and ways other than the ways that God has given us in the Bible, we will fail and miss out on the blessings of God.
• If we try to fulfill the orders, ways, precepts, and laws in Scripture in our own strength, we will miss the blessing.
• If we reject the Holy Spirit, we will miss out on the power for righteousness and we will fail to life a holy, dedicated life.  We can, at best, live the life of a spiritual Pharisee.
