Evolutionistic evangelists have proposed creative stories about the actual observations. Were these creative stories actually true, then the adaptation would be an example of random chance causing a helpful change. Some of these creative stories actually wind a tale about adding information by random chance. It must be remembered that these are only creative stories. It must also be remembered that one example, if there were one, of random chance adding order, Information, organization, an increase in complexity or an improvement of function would only prove that evolution, though statistically improbable to the point of impossibility, may be theoretically possible. It would not prove that it happened. This is a major problem with Evolutionism, and is one of many reasons that Evolutionism is a religion based on flawed logic, false premises and inductive logic.

It is much more likely that the bacterium is designed to adapt under stress. Plasmids of bacteria are designed to enable bacteria to adapt so they can use new sources for nutrition and deal with poisons.

There are severe gaps between what has been observed and the creative stories that have been made up.These stories are in conflict with the observed data in several areas.

The nylon eating bacteria story-telling is an example of the religion of Evolutionism grasping at straws. Evolution is Just Story Telling. It is an example of intelligent scientists who look at proof against Evolutionism, but all they can see is Evolutionism.It is an example of mental filters.This line of irrationality displays the ability of presuppositions and mental paradigms to make intelligent people blind to the facts.It is a prime example of confirmation bias.

The presuppositions of ungodly people are just simple-minded assumptions.  They are filters and a way to filter out the proof that God has provided. Actually, God has turned them over to a reprobate mind because they failed to acknowledge Him when they had the chance..  They set up a web of rules to filter out God.  They will only accept those things that conform to Naturalism, materialism, and uniformitarianism. 

Naturalism claims that God does nothing and that God and the spiritual realm don't exist. 

Materialism claims that there is no God or spiritual realm. (seems redundant, but they wanted to be sure about the "no God" part.

Uniformitarianism claims that there was not creation and that there was no violent worldwide flood, as the Bible and numerous other historical accounts record. 

Whatever they observe that does not conform to this complex filter is censored.  The way that it is censored can take several forms.  The ungodly may boldly proclaim that, though the data appears to support God's version and refute the version of the ungodly, yet it still must be interpreted to mean just the opposite of what it does mean.  A backup method that ungodly people use is to prophecy that in the future, science will be able to explain what they see as an anomaly.  If that fails, they will hide the data, set it aside, or lie to keep the public from knowing the truth.  The data clearly demolishes the story of the ungodly and clearly supports the reality of the Creator God, His Bible, and His abiding Presence in His people.  When confronted with the obvious, a closed-minded ungodly person says, "I can't understand it."  They are willingly ignorant because they refuse to hold God in their knowledge.  The reality is that these people, for whatever reason, don't what to know the Creator.  They don't want to truly know Jesus, their Creator.
