Biblical Judgment |
Scriptural Christianity's Vision of Biblical Judgment:
There is a life hereafter: heaven for the righteous, hell for the wicked and rebellious. God Himself is the only One Who makes this judgment.
Resurrection and judgment of all will take place on the day appointed by God. The saved will have everlasting fellowship with the Creator God. Those who have persisted in unbelief will receive judgment according to God's wisdom. Hell is very real, though many of the theologies surrounding hell are not real. We only know what Scripture tells us.
Jesus gives us that eternal life as soon as we are born again. Actually, that eternal life is Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus gives us of Himself as soon as we are born again. From the moment of our new birth, He flows through us by His Spirit to extent that we allow it. The word that is translated as "eternal" is actually the Greek word that means "of the age." This is the life of the Kingdom Age and this kind of life does not end, though we can walk away from it. Scripture is very clear on that point.
So, even now, Jesus is the resurrection and the life and we can partake of his life to a degree. ![]()
