The Pattern

You are here: Meaning > The Pattern

1 Corinthians 13:1 "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [agape love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal." 1 Corinthians 13:5 "[agape love] Doth not behave itself unseemly" Romans 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us." Hope is actually a vision of how things really are. It is seeing reality as it is. Discerning the Body of Christ is hope. John 4:7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." 1 Corinthians 1:30 tells us that wisdom in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our wisdom. And wisdom is righteous, holiness, and redemption (freedom from sin). Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." So, righteousness is love and love is righteousness. This may be quite different from what you were taught if you were taught worldly definitions of hope, love, wisdom, and righteousness.

1 Corinthians 12:12 "For as the [human] body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ." So Christ the Body is just as much Christ as Christ the Head is Christ. Christ the Body and Christ the Head cannot be seen as separate. Do discern the Body of Christ is to see Jesus face to face. There is an authority associated with the Body of Christ. This authority is the very authority of Christ.

Ephesians 3:10 "To the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God" Not the make-believe church but the church that God is building according to the pattern.

1 John 3:2 "we are God's young children now, and what we will be is not yet visible; but we know that when He is visible we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is." 2 Corinthians 3:18 "we all, with unveiled face, beholding [seeing] the glory of the Lord as in a glass [mirror], are being transfigured into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Spirit of the Lord." You are born again into the Church (and out of the world) so that you can grow. You grow as the Holy Spirit conforms you to the image of Christ, your Ministry in the Body of Christ. This is a process that goes from glory to glory. When everything is in complete unity with God's will and built according to God's Pattern as He gave it in Scripture, the Body and the Head (Jesus) will be joined as one totally complete man. This is the manifestation or the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

This walk is a personal experience, although it is more than just that as you will see. James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like to a man beholding his natural face in a glass [mirror]: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." Every Christian must realize who they are in Christ. They must realize how they fit into the Body of Christ. They look into that perfect law of liberty, and it's like looking into a mirror. Their eyes are opened to see the Kingdom of God. Then they forget. How could they after seeing the very Kingdom of God? Yet, they do. And they forget what they saw in that mirror when they looked at their brother and sister in Christ and what they saw when they looked into that mirror and saw the unbelievers and the un-born-again. They forget and do not do or try to do by self-effort, which is double-minded.

We need to see reality. We need to see that each member of the Body of Christ including our own being has a fleshly nature, a sinful nature, but they ARE the ministry, which is Christ in us the hope of Glory. 1 Corinthians 13:9 "For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass [mirror], darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known" Know what or whom? Know Him, Jesus, the Christ. Knowing Him is what it is all about, and we have this treasure in earthen vessels.

Discerning Christ in His Body is the very mechanism by which we are transfigured into His likeness. When we see Him in our brother and sister, the image of God as in a mirror, and respect Him with a Holy Awe, then we are changed by degrees from glory to glory. The fear [respect and holy awe] of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and God has made Jesus our wisdom, which is righteousness, holiness, and redemption. Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 9:10, & 1 Corinthians 1:30

God so loved the world, that is the cosmos, the universe and its order, that He gave His unique Son so that whoever believes into Him should not die but should have the life of the coming age, an uncreated life that does not end. And how do we believe into Him? It is "into" in the original language.

Well, who is Christ? Christ is the Head of the Body in Heaven, yes. Christ is also a many-membered Body here on Earth. When we serve each other, we do serve Him. When we build up each other, as you are doing, we build Him up. Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. Paul is comparing the physical body to the Church, the members of the physical body and the members of the Church. Then he calls the Church, Christ. And it is Christ. It is the Body of Christ in a very real sense.

To believe into Christ, a person must first be born again. From that point, this person begins to believe Christ rather than believing all the teachings of men and evil spirits. As the Holy Spirit unfolds His revelation, the orders that are so clearly shown in the Bible become real and understandable to the believer. God speaks to every person all the time. We were created to be directed, as God utters His Word to us, and powered by the Holy Spirit from moment to moment. Most people don't listen at all. A remnant, a small company of believers, are beginning to learn to listen and respond in God's faith. Click here to learn more." href="https://www.SeekFind.net/Bible_Dictionary__Define_Faith__Definition_of_Faith.html">faith which comes as God utters His Word to us. (some caveats about hearing God's Voice)

Believing into Christ is a process of:

  1. discerning what is and what is not the Body of Christ,
  2. and discerning what is and what is not your own particular place of service within this Body of Christ,
  3. and finally to become what God created you to become in the Body of Christ.

See, sayeth He, that you build all things according to the pattern. God is speaking to us about the pattern that He has given in Scripture. The foundation of the Church must be laid first. First Christ, then the apostles built on Christ as foundation of the Church. These apostles were restored to the Church in the late 1940s. God has been restoring His Church to its original glory and purpose since it left God's pattern in the early centuries after Jesus ascended and gave gifts to men. May God bless you in this work.

John 3:16 commented: For God so loved the cosmos[2889 kosmos], that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes into [1519 eis] Him should not perish, but have eonian [166 aionios] life.

1 Corinthians 14:3... speaketh to men to edification [building up], and exhortation, and comfort." 4 "... edifieth [builds up] himself... edifieth [builds up] the church." 5 "... that the church may receive edifying [building up]." 12... seek that ye may excel to the edifying [building up] of the church." 26 "... Let all things be done to edifying [building up]." 33 "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." 40 "Let all things be done decently and in order." Colossians 2:5 "... joying and beholding your order..." 1 Corinthians 8:1 "Now as touching things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity [agape love] edifies [builds up]." Here, we see how closely love is connected to the ability to build up Christ the Body, which is linked to following God's order and pattern.

Ephesians 4:15-16 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him [Christ] in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom [Christ] the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body to the edifying of itself in love.

Hebrews 8:5 "Who serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount." The pattern is important. We see Jesus in every true gift, ministry, operation, and order in the Church. As God pulls back the veil of our flesh to see this, we have entered into the manifestation of the sons of God to a degree. And this unveiling goes from glory to glory and from faith to faith. The word, manifestation, is translated from the Greek, apocalypse, which means, "the removal of the veil."

To be an independent Christian is as useless as to have an independent finger or toe or eye. Such an entity would soon die and would be useless if it could continue to live outside of the human body. So it is with Christ the Body. Pride makes a division in the Body. Humility is simply seeing reality. Humility is seeing our total dependence on God and on fitting into the Body in the place that God designed according to the order of Scripture. The programs, corporations, and other efforts of good Christian men and women in contrast to the Body of Christ, though they may do many good things, will always lack the true power of the real Body of Christ. There is a difference between a program and the Church. There is a difference between a corporation that is called a "ministry" and a true ministry, which is the unveiling, manifestation, of Jesus Christ in a member of His Church (His called out people).

You are born again into the Church and out of the world so that you can grow.

You have authority in Christ to the extent that you fit into your place in the Body of Christ. You fit in through submission. The apostles derive their authority by submission to Christ the Head in Heaven, Christ the Body in their fellow apostles who have direct governmental authority concerning them, and Christ in every ministry of the Body of Christ. As one apostle stated, when an 8-year-old child prophesies, I am in submission. The local elders and deacons derive their authority by submission to Christ the Head in Heaven, Christ the Body in the apostles who have governmental authority concerning them, Christ the Body in their fellow elders who also have governmental authority concerning them, and Christ in every ministry. The fathers and mothers in the home derive their authority by submission to Christ the Head in Heaven, Christ the Body in the apostles who have governmental authority concerning them, Christ the Body in their elders who also have governmental authority concerning them, Christ the Body in each other, and Christ in every ministry.

Some have said that they will submit to Christ but not to those who have been set by Christ. That is the same as saying, "I will love God but not my brother and my sister. Impossible!

Matthew 5:22 "But I say to you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca (empty head), shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." Philippians 2:3 "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."

God describes the Church as a Body. A body cannot be put together any way we like. There is a design and a pattern that must be followed for things to work. If the Church were a club, then it could be made any way we like. It is not a club. It is really the Body of Christ. There is an order to the Body of Christ just as there is an order to the physical body. The Body of Christ can survive a certain amount of disorder, but is not well if it has disorder. Fulfillment is bringing the Body of Christ into order. Ultimately, fulfillment is bringing the Body of Christ into unity with the Head, Jesus, and with itself. That will require that everything be resored and that everything be according to the pattern.

God also describes the Church as His holy Temple. When Solomon's temple (a type of the Church) was built, God repeated said, "Be sure that you build everything according to the pattern." When the temple was complete and built according to the pattern, that was when God's glory filled the temple (a type of the manifestation of the sons of God). The foundation of the Church is Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11 The apostles become part of that foundation through submission to Christ. Ephesians 2:20, Matthew 16:18 From there, the whole Church must be built according to the pattern, using the correct materials, and on that foundation.

2 Timothy "And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully."

If something is built that does not follow the pattern, the work will be lost. The pattern is the pattern that is clearly laid out in Scripture. If something does not use the correct materials, that work will be lost. Only that which God originates and does through us will survive into the eternities. There will be many religious activities and "good works" that will be burned up by God's consuming fire in His great quality control program. 1 Corinthians 3:12-15 If something is built off of that foundation, the work will be lost. Some people build their entire house on sand. Jesus taught a parable about this. "These serve as a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was warned when he was about to complete the tabernacle. For He said, Be careful that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain"

The battle is now for the mind. God leads, you believe God instead of your own fleshly mind, God's faith (a supernatural belief) comes to you, faith gives you access to God's grace (God's love/righteousness, which flows through you at that point), and grace does God's work through you, which results in two things: holiness and redemption (being set free from slavery). Righteousness is in the moment. Holiness and redemption are permanent changes in what you are and your condition respectively. Holiness and redemption go from glory to glory. Each time you yield to the Spirit of God (the love of God--God is Love) and allow Him to do His work through you, you are a little more like Christ and a bit more free from slavery to Satan. This is the "by grace through faith" experience. In other words, salvation is by grace and grace is through faith if you follow the process just described. I hope that makes sense. It is simple, Scriptural, and logical once you understand it.

This is a walk from glory to glory, from faith to faith, and from light to light. The path of the just is as a shining light that shines more and more until that perfect day.

This walk from glory to glory is not just a personal experience. It is an experience that must take place in the context of the entire Body of Christ. In this experience, each member of the Body of Christ is building every other member by the same "grace through faith" process.

They must build on the foundation, according to the pattern, and using the correct materials.

All of this work must be done by the Holy Spirit. It is by grace, which is through faith. The Holy Spirit always follows God's order in this work. He will always lead the believer to that which is orderly. The Holy Spirit will always lead you in an orderly way--God's order.

Many times, the believer may have some sort of a theology of idea of how things should be that makes the believer resistant to the leading of the Holy Spirit. These are strongholds that keep the believers from entering into what God has for them.

God has a pattern for everything he does. That pattern is plainly written in God's Word. Many have gotten spiritually stuck when they ran into God's pattern and decided that they could not obey. Then, the rationalizing started. Then, the theologies were developed. Then, they made excuses before the King of kings why they could not go into the Kingdom of God.

The Church is the very method by which God is bringing about the fulfillment, the manifestation of the Sons of God. The Church is also the fulfillment itself. It is to come into unity as one totally complete man. That Man is a Head (Jesus) and a Body (the church) in total unity and order. This is the message of Ephesians 4. Pray that God give you eyes to see this, because this is basic to discerning the Body of Christ.

Disorders are perversions of the Body of Christ. They are akin to perversions of marriage. Changing God's orders constitutes perversion. You must be born again to see the Kingdom, so many people cannot discern the perversion of the Church. However, the perversion of the home is a level where even the unsaved can often tell that there is a perversion. If you are building, you must build with the right materials, in the right way, on the right foundation.

To fail to discern the Body of Christ is antichrist. To not see the anointing (Christ) on a member of the Body of Christ is antichrist. All division is antichrist. To not see the order of the Body of Christ or to walk disorderly is antichrist. For one spouse to have a critical or contemptuous opinion toward the other spouse is antichrist--the same is true of any member having such an attitude toward any other member. To not have compassion to share the Gospel, without regard to possible persecution, with an unbeliever is antichrist. Every person's carnal mind is antichrist. God has called many out from that which is along side of Christ (as a competitor for His space--antichrist) to move in unity into the fullness of His plan for the Body of Christ.

We don\'t know about the calling of others, but we are called to the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). We know that we are called to the continuing unfolding of revelation in the Scriptures, which is given to the apostles and the prophets sent by God, not sent by men nor sent by themselves (Ephesians 3:5). We are called to the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). We are...

Teachings of Scriptural Christianity Biblical Christianity\'s Teachings on God: The Only God is triune, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere-present, and has always existed. No person can find purpose or meaning in life or be fulfilled outside of a relationship with God. God is love and wants a personal relationship with every person. Biblical Christianity Teachings on the Perfect Creation: God created the universe and everything in it,...

This particular response happens more often in those who have been born again than it does in those who have not been born again. The seed, the gospel of the Kingdom of the Heavens, lands on the trampled path of the heart in a Christian. How did that path get trampled and hardened? Isn\'t a Christian\'s heart supposed to be soft toward God? The heart becomes hardened by repeatedly missing...

God's Way is not a smorgasbord from which the Christian may pick and choose.  For each person, God pulls back the veil of the flesh so the person can see some element of the Kingdom of God.  The person either receives the revelation or not.  We are all on the road somewhere.  Many are stuck in a rut because they continually reject what God has revealed to them.   Many rejected...

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Church?   The strengths of the Church are:   Obedience to God through the power of the Holy Spirit.     And understanding of Scripture through the power of the Holy Spirit.     The orders of the church as God has laid them out in Scripture.     Hope in the promises of Scripture.   The weakness of the Church are:   Disobedience, ungodliness, and...

The Church Becomes Confused About Its Role If It Rejects Scripture. In an effort to become relevant, the leadership moves away from the Bible not realizing that the reason that they are irrelevant is not because they are too close to the pattern of Scripture but because they have moved too far from the pattern of Scripture. Many Christians know, by the Spirit of Christ Who dwells in them, that the...

\"It is because of him [the Father] that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.\" 1 Corinthians 1:30 NIV The battle for righteousness is a battle to correct the proper operation of the human spirit, mind/soul, and body. Of course, this includes correcting our relationship to God. Real righteousness is by grace through faith. Romans 14:23 tells us simply that...

\"It is because of him [the Father] that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.\"   1 Corinthians 1:30 NIV   Holiness is progressive.  It is a change in what we are. Some people say that there are many ways to God or to fulfillment.  This is untrue.  There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we can be saved. There is only one Jesus. Whoever is not for Him is against Him. Whoever is against Him cannot be for Him. There is no middle ground. Fulfillment is only available in Jesus. Only through Jesus can we approach...

Jesus said, "You must be born again."  Nicodemus didn't have a clue what Jesus meant.  He asked, 'How can I be born again?"  It's a great question.  The answer is, "you must believe in Jesus for deliverance from your sins."  Being born again is getting started on the road to spiritual success.  Once you get started, hopefully, you take ground, hold the ground, and go on to total victory. ...

Question: What is meant by against such there is no law in Gal 5:23? In the scriptural order, there is no record of any salary for local elders. There is a pay, low as it might be, for traveling elders/apostles.  Pay for local elders was added later as a man-made order. The order of elders doesn't function properly without the order of apostles. One elder will gain preeminence. The order of apostles doesn't work in a denominational system. The scriptural order is that apostles must be...

Apostles have recently been restored to the church universal. They are the antithesis of the denominational system. Though counterfeits have also arisen, that doesn't make the real any less real. This is important. All sorts of interesting man-made orders and patterns keep popping up for the church to follow... instead of following the teachings of the Bible and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This complete selection shows much about...

Here is one of many references to the importance of the office of the apostle in the Church. If you take time to read the entire chapter, you will see that the apostles are not superior in any way. They have more responsibility. Other scriptures show us that they were in submission to each other and that there is no such thing as a chief apostle. The church order was...

Even in the early church, there were false apostles. Notice that the counterfeit did not make the genuine any less genuine.  And there are false apostles today, but the counterfeit does not make the genuine any less genuine.  This is written because some use the false apostles as an excuse for man-made church orders that cannot be found in the Bible. 2Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming...

Here is the pattern for the establishment of doctrine in the church. Of course, the scriptural order of apostles upon which this pattern rests has been widely rejected in the church, but let God be true and every man a liar. The order is this. Doctrine is established by apostles. Apostles are sent to deliver the doctrine to the local churches. It\'s a very simple and effective order. This is the...

The apostles are very much a part of the Scriptural order of the church. The church must return to the pattern that God has given. The Holy Spirit The baptism of the Holy Spirit is real and available to you today. Scripture speaks of two distinct types of tongues. Gifts are given by the laying on of hands of the presbytery and prophecy.  This is God's way.  It is critical that God's process be followed, especially since there have been some who have prayed and prophesied over people without having authority from God to do so.  This imparts the wrong spirit.    When you are set into your ministry by the laying on of hands of the presbytery, this...

Discerning the Body of Christ is righteousness. \"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth to a holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together...

I heard a Christian say that she is trying to practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. I realized that God isn\'t random or senseless. He doesn\'t need our ideas. He is full of ideas. False Kingdoms Those who have tried to set up their own kingdoms have failed because they went out from the Body of Christ. They went out from those ministries who were established by God. Some have claimed that Scripture that refers to apostles is no longer valid. By...

There was a man who got a job as pastor in a medium-sized church.  The man had a vision for the big city near his church, so he said.  He generated a lot of support for his vision among pastors of other small churches and became a bit of a folk hero among them.  He spoke with lots of passion.  In these circles, various winds of doctrine would sweep through...

There was a Christian radio personality who used his position on the airwaves to preach against any modern-day apostles. Under the order of local elders and deacons according to the Scriptural pattern, we no longer have the useless overhead of massive salaries and building costs. I have a question about James chapter 5 verses 13 and 14. In verse 13 we are told that if we are afflicted to pray and if we are merry to sing psalms. However, in verse 14, instead of praying for ourselves when we are sick, we are told to call on the elders.   In 13 we do the praying and rejoicing ourselves, but not in 14.   Why does it...

Jeremiah 23:16-22 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not to the words of the prophets that prophesy to you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. They say still to them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say to every one that walketh after the imagination of his...

Question:     My question is this. Our church is beginning to tolerate just about anything. Our Pastor is wanting our board (deacons) to only have the duty of financial matters. He wants all other responsibilities himself. He wants to leave scriptures out of our by-laws that relate to dealing with sin in the congregation. He has a young man at this moment sitting out of our praise and worship team...

To many, it seems that the church is not fulfilling its purpose.  The reason Christians are leaving many church organizations is because there is no scriptural way provided by which they may grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, which is spoken of in the Scripture. Yet, the Bible plainly lays out the way.  The churches, in many cases, prefer man-made ways to the Bible.  That means that...

The Five-Fold Ministry or 5-fold ministry has become a popular subject in some circles, although the major revelation concerning this subject was unveiled by the Spirit of God about the middle of the twentieth century.  Many of the newer human interpretations of this Divine revelation have modified the Truth to allow some people to cater to considerations of money, power, pleasure, and prestige.  The original revelation concerning apostles, prophets, evangelists,...

I was recently given numerous writings and personal papers of the now deceased MILFORD E. KIRKPATRICK, who was present at the beginning of the outpouring. Some of the \"papers\" are originals and others are copies. Kirpatrick is identified in a 1948 edition of The Sharon Star as \"Secretary\" of Global Missions. By 1950 George Warnock was the \"Secretary\". Kirkpatrick was a missionary-minded minister and a pilot, also a speaker on...

It seems as if the Scriptural order of the Church is widely rejected by religious people.  There are several reasons. First, any precept of God is spiritual in nature.  Spiritual things must be revealed.  They are not reasoned out.  Even the Scripture says that spiritual things must be spiritually discerned.  How can someone walk according to something they can't understand.  Every Christian should be in constant prayer for God's continual unfolding revelation.  There are things that...

The Bible doesn\'t really say much about pastors (as a noun).  It talks about elders (plural) who are to pastor (a verb meaning to care for as a shepherd cares for sheep) the local church members.  Pastors (as a noun) are only mentioned among the five traveling ministries/offices in Ephesians 11.  Something happened during the dark ages to destroy the order of the church.  New ideas were introduced by people...

We know that the ministries and offices of the Church are counterfeited. Every gift of God, including salvation, is counterfeited. By their fruits shall you know them. The Scriptural order is very plain. The counterfeits: There are many instances where authority is claimed but a man or an organization is glorified. Anyone would know that this is not from God. A friend of mine went to a seminar where anyone who wanted it could purchase...

God's Way is not a smorgasbord from which the Christian may pick and choose.  For each person, God pulls back the veil of the flesh so the person can see some element of the Kingdom of God.  The person either receives the revelation or not.  We are all on the road somewhere.  Many are stuck in a rut because they continually reject what God has revealed to them....

God has His own way that is better than the ways that the human mind would dream up. God will not compromise and do His works our way. Romans 8:18-23 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed [Apocalypse, Unveiling] in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation [Apocalypse, Unveiling] of the sons [huios, mature sons] of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same...

It is important that we are obedient to the Spirit of God as He reveals the order in the Scripture.  We are learning to hear His Voice and respond to it.  It is also important to note that no one can select his or her own calling or gift.  No one can decide to have an office in the Church or a gift of the Spirit or a certain ministry. ...

As already mentioned, the Body of Christ is Christ the Body.  When we can discern the Body of Christ, it opens a door for us to see more clearly in the realm of the Spirit.  While our fleshly nature thinks that we have a real identity outside of the Body of Christ, this is not reality.  The reality is that our identity is in Christ, specifically, the Body of Christ...

Many are captive to the religious systems of this age. About half of all Christian churches teach more liberalism than they teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many who teach the gospel of Jesus Christ are intent on proving that they have the completeness. The word, "peace," in Jeremiah 6:14, means "completeness." It is the Hebrew word, "Shalom," which is used for "hello" and "goodbye" but means "completeness."  Note also that they...

Now concerning spiritual gifts [lit. spirituals], brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb [incapable of speaking] idols, even as ye were led. So God speaks. What are the Scriptural Christianity Teachings? What is the good news (gospel) and why should I care? What was the price that was paid so that I could be forgiven? This is God\'s process, and it does not happen by human effort. We cannot strain to yield. We must let God do the work in us. When we fail, we get up and walk again. When our brother or sister misses the target, we help them to get up and walk again. We restore them. If one walks away from God, we look to God for how to bring them...

God has a method for bringing us to maturity in Him. His plan is that we would be transfigured by the renewing of our minds. For this process, He has given gifts of the Spirit to the members of the Body of Christ, so that there is none that has preeminence. All are necessary. His method is that every member have one or more gifts and that those gifts be...

Scripture defines the Church and its purpose. It is the Bride of Christ, but God\'s purpose is that it become totally clean and without defect first. God\'s purpose is for total unity in the Church. Great Babylon of the Apocalypse is the confusion of voices. It is the divided church, squabbling, making merchandise of the saints and of religion. It is the divisional denominational system that has the unbelievers so mixed up that they wonder who they should believe. Babylon has come into existence from man-made forms, rituals, and governments--church orders that in no way reflect the orders that are established in Scripture. How many 1...

Romans 8:28-29 The purpose is that those who have been born are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. Research indicates that many are leaving the traditional churches because those churches are not meeting this need. No amount of human effort could make it happen, but God has a plan. God has a method. God has a way. God has a pattern for everything and His pattern is the only way.  Hebrews...

Jesus prayed a prayer in John 17: 21, and that prayer will be answered in the affirmative. Jesus didn't pray a foolish or unacceptable prayer in John 17:21. All His prayers will be fulfilled. The one prayer in which He prayed, "Not my will but Thine be done... " was his prayer for release from the cup, and that was probably prayed more for our sakes than His, showing that the...

God is not so much concerned with numbers of members in a church.  He is concerned with your growth.  God has given the church what is needed to make this growth take place, but much of the church is taken up with the money, power, and prestige or religion, so they don't listen to God's voice. 1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly...

Our walk is a walk of submission, because God created us to be joined to Him in a mighty relationship of His soveriegn love and our submission to His love.  God is love.  He leads, we acknowledge Him, so faith comes opening the door to His free gift (grace) of righteousness, which is His love.  His love, the free gift of righteousness, does righteousness through us.  By degrees, our eyes...

The Greek word for church, Ekklesia, literally means \"called out or summoned, assembled with a purpose.\"  The disorders in Jesus\' church will fall away, disorders that have been introduced by human ideas.  These human-generated disorders will be replaced by the orders of God, which are the orders of Scripture.  Then, we will find that, just as the Bible says, the church is the very method by which we come into complete...

As with the home, God has an order for the Church, and that order is in the Scripture.  There may be more that needs to be revealed from Scripture, but some things appear to be quite easily understood in the light that God has given today.  We believe that the Holy Scriptures teach:   The 5 apostolic ministries(Ephesians 4:11)   The nine gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)   Local congregations...

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;   Ephesians 2:20 Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church.  There can never be any other foundation.  And we must be careful how we build because our work will be tested by fire.  The apostles are built on the foundation of Jesus.  So many organizations have creative little ways to define their doctrines, but...

Can these be counterfeited? Yes.  Every gift of God can be and is counterfeited by the human mind and by powers and principalities.  Even salvation itself is counterfeited.  Worship is counterfeited.  The Bible is counterfeited with false translations.  Ministries are counterfeited.  Healing is counterfeited.  Miracles are counterfeited.  Prophecy is counterfeited.  Tongues are counterfeited.  And, of course, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are counterfeited.  This makes the real no less real, but, in...

It\'s notable that the word that is translated \"peace\" in this verse is the word, Shalom. Shalom...

If They Are Forbidden From The Spirit, They Will Partake Of Flesh. People are starved for reality, for real contact with God and real power for righteousness by the Spirit of God. The people of God are literally starving to death...

In some cases, people are being taught that only certain parts of the Bible are valid. What is considered valid or not valid can vary widely across organizations. Some organizations want to get rid of the creation account and what the Bible says about the age of the Earth. Some want to get rid of apostles, prophets, and gifts of the Spirit. Others want to get rid of speaking in...

Humanistic Speculations Whether a member of the New Age, the Humanist movement, the Intellectualism movement, the Agnostic movement, the Atheist movement, or whatever the movement (we\'re referring to ungodly anti-Christ movements), an incredible thing seems to happen almost every time the ungodly express themselves. They first assert that they stick to facts, then they smoothly transition to a fictional story, and then they insist that the story is a fact....

So what is the meaning of life? You were designed and made for better than what you have been experiencing. You probably know intuitively that we are living far below what God has planned for us. When we think seriously of our individual relationship with Jesus, it might seem like this is such an individual walk that there is no need for the church.  That is not the case in any way.  The church is a vital part of the walk.  We quickly come to the point where the Holy Spirit puts the church on our hearts.  We can see the mighty opposition of all Satan's...

2 Corinthians 10:18 tells us that an apostle must be an apostle by more than just his own commendation and appointment. Acts 6:1-7 records the setting of a number of deacons to help the apostles. Galatians 2:8-9, Acts 9:26-30, and Acts 13:1-2 show that the apostles were on guard against false apostles, but Peter, James, and John discerned the call on Paul and a door opened so...

I heard a Christian say that she is trying to practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty. I realized that God isn\'t random or senseless. He doesn\'t need our ideas. He is full of ideas. He doesn\'t want us to use our imaginations to come up with a vision out of our own hearts. He wants us to see a heavenly vision that starts and ends with Him. With these...

The word, apostle, means \"one sent.\" In other words, he was preaching against any who seem to be sent by God. He claimed that anyone who does not believe what he believes (and a lot of what he believes is very speculative) does not have the Spirit of God. He claimed...

Galatians 2:2 And I went up by revelation [Apokalupsis: removal of a covering or veil] , and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. God\'s way has the Scriptural structure and order and a sure foundation. God is a God of order. He has an opinion on everything, including how the foundation of His Church will be laid. Under the order of local elders and deacons according to the Scriptural pattern, we no longer have the useless overhead of massive salaries and building costs. We are able to give two thirds of the tithe money for mission work and care of the poor throughout the world. Most of the money the we use locally is available to help those who are in need. Very little goes for overhead...

God so loved the world, that is the cosmos, the universe and its order, that He gave His unique Son so that whoever believes into Him should not die but should have the life of the coming age, an uncreated life that does not end. Once you get started, hopefully, you take ground, hold the ground, and go on to total victory. ...

Question: I have been a member of a denominational church for about 19 years. How can I introduce foundational truth about the Five Fold Gifting to the house and still be submitted to my Pastor? The apostles and the 5-Fold Ministry, What a concept. Do apostles and the 5-Fold Ministry exist in the Bible? As you will see, apostles and the 5-Fold Ministry do indeed exist in the Bible.
