God's Way: apostles; prophets; evangelists; pastors teachers equipping the believers for the work of ministry, which is for building of the body of Christ UNTIL . . .

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting (equipping) of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till (Until) we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:   

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:   

From whom (Christ) the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The disunity is not of God.  Yes, God will bless us in spite of our disorders, but He calls us to walk according to His order.  He gives us power to do so.  We will grow up into the head.  We won't be little christs, of course.  We will be the body of Christ and we will be joined to Jesus in a very intimate way.  We will never speak our own words but only His words.  We won't do our own actions but only His works.  We will walk in the Spirit at all times and dwell in His presence at all times.  There will be one church.  It will not be a denomination.  It will not be an organization.  It will be the Body of Christ with a unity that causes it to move as one Body that is directed by One Spirit, the Spirit of God.
