Are all who call themselves Christians free from religious systems of this age?
Many are captive to the religious systems of this age. About half of all Christian churches teach more liberalism than they teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many who teach the gospel of Jesus Christ are intent on proving that they have the completeness. The word, "peace," in Jeremiah 6:14, means "completeness." It is the Hebrew word, "Shalom," which is used for "hello" and "goodbye" but means "completeness." Note also that they heal the hurt of Zion only slightly. They take away the relevance from the church by failing to press toward the fullness that God has for the church. Jeremiah 6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. So they say, "Completeness, completeness," when there is no completeness. They say, "We have it all. No need to look further." All the while, God is saying, "Come up higher. My salvation is beyond the understanding of your finite mind. Come and partake of My mind. I will teach you of my ways and you shall walk in my paths. Come from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. Come to the manifestation of the Sons of God, to the measure of the fullness of Christ." And the religious systems say, "Don't listen to Jesus. We have it all. Here it is safe, and there is nothing to move on towards. God has no plan or purpose." If the Church were just a club or an organization, then we could make it any old way. Some don't realize what the Church is. They don't know that God designed the Church and gave us the pattern in Scripture.
