What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Church?

The strengths of the Church are:

• Obedience to God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
• And understanding of Scripture through the power of the Holy Spirit.
• The orders of the church as God has laid them out in Scripture.
• Hope in the promises of Scripture.

The weakness of the Church are:

• Disobedience, ungodliness, and sin because of depending on the human.
• Failure to understand Scripture; depending on human intellect instead of revelation.
• Disunity and denominationatism.
• Substitution of forms, rituals, intellectualism, and dogma for the Holy Spirit.
• Substitution of emotion and entertainment for the power of the Holy Spirit.
• Substitution of human orders for the Scriptural orders of the Church.
• Tendency to explain away Scriptures that are inconvenient.
• Tendency to add to Scripture through rationalism, speculation, and imagination.
• Failure to believe the promises of Scripture.
