The assembling of ourselves together is a process and it is progressive.

If you get a new bike in parts, you know that there is a difference between all the parts being together and all the parts being assembled. When the Body of Christ finally is assembled according to the pattern of Scripture, then God's glory will suddenly fill the temple.

Holiness can be seen as we are assembled together in a unified Body. It can be seen in the process of the local meeting. The way the Holy Spirit flows indicates the Spiritual maturity of the saints. Every member coming a little early to prepare for the service. They sit in prayer, seeking the Lord. Not because they have to. Not for a show. It is because they are led to and they are walking in righteousness. The love is flowing before the service ever starts. No one is talking, but the love is flowing. Then it begins all in perfect order. If the Spirit leads in singing, everyone sings, not just the gifted. If the Spirit leads in prophecy, everyone prophesies. If the Spirit leads in healing, then the gifts of healing and the ministries of intercession enter in--though no one may know it. The elders anoint the sick with oil. God brings the healing. No person is lifted up. No one compares ministries or makes any division. This is maturity. This is Holiness. This is stability. This is Sanctification.

The assembling of ourselves together is a painful part of this process, and it destroys the fleshly nature. (Heb 10:25)

It involves submission on the part of everyone. Hierarchical thinking has to go. Status has to go. Rebellion has to go. The idea that we have rights has to be replaced with ministries (the Christ in us) taking responsibility that has been given and carrying out that responsibility by the leading and power of the Spirit. Such things as Church attendance, being on time for the meetings, the family alter, ministry, love, and respect are basic. Without such this assembling will not take place, and the Kingdom of Heaven is not available.
