2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and hath committed to us the word of reconciliation. By this we can plainly see that God created us to be joined to Him. That is why He has created the Church, His method to bring us into unity with Him. The Church, that is, the genuine real Church, is designed by God to bring us into the likeness of Christ. What most people see presented as being the Church would never cause this to happen because it is not being built according to the pattern. But that Body of Christ that is built according to the pattern is both the means that brings us to the likeness of Christ and also the very fullness of Christ in the great Day of the Lord.
