Music has transforming power. Spiritual music is a gift from God, created for His purpose. Every gift of God can be counterfeited and is counterfeited by the enemy. God's gifts are counterfeited by the human flesh and also by evil spirits. Spiritual music is also counterfeited by human flesh and by evil spirits. All music has transforming power, but the question becomes: "Into what is the music transforming you?"

It is no overstatement to say that your music choices are literally choices between life and death. The enemy of your soul will tell you that it's no big deal. You may hear a voice telling you, "It's just a little music." That voice may even be laughing at this warning. It is the voice of your enemy, if that is what you're hearing, and your life is in the balance. If the devil has already got you in his control, you will be particularly resistant to this warning.

Spiritual songs exalt the Name of the Lord. They literally bring you into the presence of the Lord. They give you a closer relationship with Him.

This being the case, Christians need to learn to be led of the Spirit in regard to music.  Christians need to learn of the glories of spiritual music.  Christians need to learn, from the Holy Spirit, the difference between emotion and the moving of God's Holy Spirit.
