Rationalism and Intellectualism: Manufacturing Knowledge (False Knowledge)
To understand the idolatrous position on intellectualism, you have to understand the concept of rationalized speculation/supposition and liberalism and how these two work together with what is called "intellectualism." There is really very little correlation between the human IQ and the mind of God.� God reveals to whom He will, and certainly not to those proud individuals who imagine that they are the elite. Those who are wise enough to see through the foolishness of liberalism's rationalized speculation are demonized by the liberals who think that they, the liberals, are intellectuals.� The human mind was corrupted by the fall and we wait for the full restoration of the mind.
Idolatrous intellectualism also accepts the notion that the human mind can manufacture knowledge without the benefit of observation. This form of intellectualism is anti-science.� Some claim that certain individuals are intellectuals who possess the ability to use their intellect to get these self-generated revelations.� Idolatrous intellectualism is a denomination of the New Age religion that creeps into science and into all other religions. Increasingly, it creeps into the Christian Church.
2 Timothy 3:5 warns us to turn away from those who have the form of godliness but deny the power of godliness. Godliness has power for health, life, holiness, miracles, and many other blessings.� "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." 2 Timothy 3:5
