Scriptures Related to the Fallen Human Mind
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed [literally, transfigured] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Note that this is written to Christians) Note that the word, repent, means to have literally a new mind. Numbers 15:39... and that ye seek not after your own mind and your own ability to observe, with which you used to commit fornication: Rom 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be. Note that the carnal mind simply means the dead mind. Death is a separation of what was designed to be joined. The mind is naturally separated from God and in bondage to the body which is in bondage to Satan because of the fall. Jesus came to turn that all around. Now, every person who is born again has a part of his or her mind that has been transfigured by the Holy Spirit to be like Jesus and a part that is still carnal. We all need to listen to the mind of Christ and ignore our natural intellect. The human mind was never created to function without the flow of the Holy Spirit through it. Psalm 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart (innermost mind), There is no God. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart (innermost mind) is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Proverbs 28:26 He that trusteth in his own heart (innermost mind) is a fool: but whoso walks wisely, he shall be delivered. A little science on the human mind
