Example: "I have never felt or heard any presence of any type of god." Obviously, this is a bold-faced lie. If the ungodly person is talking to a follower of Christ who is telling the ungodly person about Jesus, then that person has heard from God. Feeling, of course, is a delusion. Feeling has nothing to do with it. The person may be waiting for God to speak in an audible voice that comes out of space to their natural ears. However, God speaks through followers of Christ. God speaks through angels and we don’t even realize that we have not just been talking to another human being. God speaks through the conscience, our innermost souls/minds. God speaks through the Bible. I happen to know that all of this was explained to the person who made this excuse before he made this excuse. This person states that he enjoys debate but doesn’t realize that debate changes nothing. It can have no impact on truth. (some caveats about hearing God's Voice) The reality is that this person fully knows that God exists. For more on this, go here.
