Basics of Liberal ChristianityThe Holy Spirit Because of the liberal doctrine of Naturalism, many in the Church have rejected the power of the Holy Spirit. Naturalism, one of the corner stones of Atheism, liberalism, humanism, agnosticism, evolutionism, and other anti-Christ religions, has crept quietly into the church. Without realizing it, church leaders have allowed themselves to be influenced by this doctrine of demons called Naturalism. Naturalism basically claims that God does nothing. It denies miracles. It denies God's ability to heal. It would cut huge sections out of Scripture and make a lame excuse. Liberalism says, "that no longer applies." "That verse is out-dated." "That verse was for the apostolic age." All of these are the lies of the evil one. If you go to a church where such arguments are made, run. Find a Bible-believing church. 2 Timothy 3:5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore. From these also turn away. The Holy Spirit is still active. Many, in the Church, are experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit. They are seeing a restoration of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12. They are seeing Spirit led services where the Body of Christ is built up by that which every joint supplies. 1 Corinthians 14 and Ephesians 4. They are seeing a restoration of the Scriptural order of multiple local elders and deacons and multiple universal elders and deacons (apostles) operating in unity and authority. God is going to shake all that is not according to His pattern.
