Logical Fallacy of Tokenism

The Logical Fallacy of Tokenism occurs when verbal agreement/commitment is given, and a token effort is made, but there is no follow-through.

Examples of the Logical Fallacy of Tokenism

A young man goes up to the front during the church service and confesses his adultery and commits to living a life dedicated to the Lord. He leaves the service and discusses this with his live-in. They decide that they will get married and not have sex again until they are married, but they still live together. Afterward, they have sex about as often as they did before.

The person who has been enslaved by alcohol receives Christ as Savior. He is set free. He says,"I'm going to give up alcohol completely as soon as I finish up what's in the house."

How about pouring that alcohol down the drain as quickly as possible.
