What Is the Purpose of Life and How Can You Fulfill It

The meaning of your life is knowable.  You can know the meaning of your life.  Under the assumptions of materialism, the meaning of your life could never be known, but God intends that would bear the family resemblance, that you would be godly.  This is the meaning of your life.  If you truly seek God, He will reveal more about the meaning of your life.

Ephesians 4:11-16 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting [total equipping] of the saints [Christians], for the work of the ministry [service], for the edifying [building up] of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect [mature or complete] man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body to the edifying of itself in love.  

Christ will always be the Head.  The Church will be His Body.  We won't be little gods or christs but we will become obedient and submissive to Christ and we will be His Body in a way that is now beyond our understanding.

What is the purpose of life?  

Romans 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

The purpose of life is for you to be conformed to the image of Jesus.  This gives meaning to your life.  This gives you purpose.  This defines your fulfillment.  

Many have asked: "What is the purpose of life?  Some have even questioned whether life has a purpose.  In the Scripture above, and in many others, God tells us plainly what the purpose of life is.  God has a purpose, and His purpose is that we will be conformed to the image of his Son, Jesus.  When we see Him, we shall see Him as He is, and we will be like Him.  (1 John 3:2)  As we all see Christ in each other, we are changed into that same image from glory to ever increasing glory by the Holy Spirit.  (2 Cor. 3:18)  That is what the purpose of life is.  We must allow ourselves to be conformed to His image and come into submission to His love--to allow Him to express His love through us.  We can't allow ourselves to be squeezed into the world's mold.  We present our bodies as living sacrifices.  We are transfigured by allowing our minds to be made new.  (Romans 12:1,2)  This is the only way to glorify God.
